Tirupur: Over 90% more than 10,000shops in Tirupur are shut down today as theyare standing in support with the farmers who are protesting against the central government and the new agricultural reform bill that the government has introduced.

Due to that the farmer's have called a national bandh today to which many opposition parties, trade unions and associations have shown solidarity in their support.
Hotels, dress shops, vessels shops, export industries in Tirupur are closed today showing solidarity.
With the trade and workers unions showing support, autos, cabs are also closed making the hustling town of Tirupur empty.
