Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Sunday recorded 1,320 fresh COVID-19 cases and 16 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 7,90,240 and toll to 11,793.

Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 1,398 patients getting cured aggregating to 7,67,659 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 10,788.
Among districts, Chennai led with 346 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 139 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 70,765 today, totalling to 1,24,76,093 getting examined till date.
