Tirupur: Farmers are now protesting for the 9th day against the central government for introducing the new agricultural reform bill in Delhi.

Many political, non political parties and other unions and associations have demonstrated protest to show solidarity with the farmers.

In one such protest which took place near the Railway Station in Tirupur, DMK party members along with it's alliance parties wore black attires and carried flags along with garlands made from vegetables and rode on bullock carts as a sign of protest.
The police tried to dissolve the protestors by talking to the protestors, to which the protestors argued that the government is crushing the farmers with its new rules and they also wanted a permanent solution for this. The DMK Party protestors also argued to be arrested and kept in prison and asked the officials to let them out only after a resolution was sorted for the farmer's issue.

A total of around 500 DMK protestors were arrested in the protest held in Tirupur.
