The Nilgiris: The Nilgiris District Collector Innocent Divya said all the tourist spots in the Nilgiris district, which have been closed since March 24 due to the government's decision for a lockdown, will be reopened from Monday, December 7.
District Collector Divya who met with the media today said that the boat house run by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation, Dodabetta peak and the other popular tourist centers under the control of the Environmental Development Committee would be reopened for tourists from Monday.
She also said that the permission to reopen the tourist attractions has been sought from the government which allows tourists to enter the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve and that it would be reopened once the government permission was obtained. She also said that even if the tourist spots are opened, the government will ensure compliance with the government guidelines for COVID-19 and e-registration norms.
