Coimbatore: Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and its allied parties led by its President MK Stalin are holding protests across Tamil Nadu today, demanding the central government to roll back the three controversial farm bills which were recently passed in the parliament.

As part of the state-wide protests, hundreds of DMK cadres and district functionaries led by Singanallur Constituency MLA Na Karthik gathered in front of the South Tahsildhar Office, today and staged a demonstration.
Over 400 DMK party cadres voiced their support for the farmers protesting in the nation's capital against the centre's controversial farm bill. The protesters raised slogans that the centre's farm bill is aimed at nurturing the corporates at the expense of the poor farmers. Such laws, will question the existence of farming in the future, they alleged.

Meanwhile, DMK leader MK Stalin who arrived to Coimbatore on Friday evening was given a warm welcome by the party members and cadres. He later left to Salem through road to take part in the protest, today.

Member of Parliament and DMK Women's Wing Secretary, Kanimozhi is heading the protest in Mettupalayam area. Multiple protests are being held at all suburbs across the district.
