In a two separate incident, labourers commited suicide over quarrel in the household.


Coimbatore: Two labourers commited suicide over dispute with their wife.

In the first incident Anandan (35), a labour who hails from Karumalai in Chettipalayam, Coimbatore had a history of quarrels with his wife Ambika (29). Anandan and Ambika are parents to a son and a daughter. With the family dispute going on for a few months, Ambika finally left for her paternal home in anger over the dispute. Anandan who then went to Ambika's house to persuade her back was worried as his wife refused to come back. Depressed over this Anandan committed suicide by hanging himself alone at home. The RS Puram police station have registered a case and are investigating further on the incident under section 174.

In another case Sudhakar (33), a labourer who hails from Narasimhanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore also committed suicide over fight with his wife.

Sudhakar and his wife were seperated a few days ago over a disagreement and Sudhakar who was depressed and frustrated over the dispute committed suicide by drinking cow dung powder while he was alone at home. The Sulur police have registered a case on his death and are further investigating it.
