Coimbatore court on Monday sentenced Rajavel and his wife to double life imprisonment for killing and burning an innocent woman named Ammavasai and obtaining a death certificate in the name of Rajavel's wife. Commissioner of Police Sumit Saran and Stalin Deputy Commissioner of Law and Order, commended the efforts of police officers today.
The Police Commissioner in his address said, "The couple who know the laws tried to hide various documents and the documents were stolen from the court. I wholeheartedly commend the police officers who have persevered in upholding justice and fairness to the innocent woman without compromising integrity and justice under no circumstances. I pray to God that they will continue to work in the police force with justice and honesty and achieve various achievements."
