Coimbatore: Two youth commit suicide due to love failure in Coimbatore. Sikander Faik (age 22) is from Bhima Magandiganj in Orissa. He lived with his brother Adhikanda Bikton in Coimbatore Malumichampatti North Estate and worked for a private company for 4 years. Sikander Faik was allegedly in love with a girl in Odisha. He has been talking to her for a long time on his cell phone everyday. 10 days back Sikander Faik, was shocked to learn that the woman got married to someone else.
He got ready to go to work as usual yesterday. His brother Adhikanda went out to take a bath. Sikander then committed suicide by hanging himself from a piece of cloth in the bedroom. Chettipalayam police were informed about this. Police recovered the body and sent it to Coimbatore Government Hospital for autopsy. Following this, the police have registered a case under Section 174 and are conducting an investigation.
Similarly, Manikandan (25), a carpenter from BP Road, Coimbatore. He and a young woman from Tirupur have been in love for the last two years. There has been a dispute between Manikandan and the woman over the past few days following which she did not speak to him. When he persuaded she decided to break up with him which shocked Manikandan and he went into depression.He committed suicide by hanging himself when no one was at home. The ig Bazaar police have registered a case under Section 174 and are investigating.
