Depression Over The Gulf of Mannar To Turn Into A Low Pressure Area - India Meteorological Department!

With the depression slowing down, heavy rains are still expected along the coast of Ramanathapuram and nearby areas.



Chennai: The India Meteorological Department tweeted that " The depression over the Gulf of Mannar which was pinned closely to Ramanathapuram District and it's coast, has remained stationary during the last 30 hours."

It also said that the depression formed in the Bay of Bengal is expected to remain stationary over the same pin location. Later the depression is also expected to weaken to a well marked low pressure area in the next 12 hours.
