Coimbatore: Husband commits suicide in shock of wife's death leaving behind his two children.
Ramya, 27, of Attadi village in the Nilgiris district, is married and has a 3-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son. Ramya had separated from her husband. She got acquainted with Dharmaraj from the same area and when Dharmaraj proposed to marry Ramya she agreed to it. Following this, Dharmaraj married Ramya and adopted Ramya's two children who lived together for 6 months. Later they shifted from Nilgiris to Coimbatore.
Dharmaraj and Ramya were staying and working in a garden at Mettuvavi near Pollachi. Ramya who came here suddenly fell ill and died suddenly last night. Dharmaraj was shocked by this. He immediately informed the owner of the farm. The farm owner consoled him and said he will be there in some time. But Dharmaraj was upset that Ramya had died and he committed suicide by hanging himself at home. When the owner of the farm came there, he was shocked to see that Dharmarajan had committed suicide by hanging himself near Ramya's body.
He informed the Negamam police about this. Police recovered the bodies of the couple and sent them to a government hospital for autopsy. Police are investigating the death of the husband and wife. Their two children were left behind with no one to take care of. Police have informed Ramya's relatives living in Nilgiris and steps are being taken to hand over the children to them.
