Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Friday recorded 1,391 fresh COVID-19 cases and 15 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 7,87,554 and toll to 11,762.

Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 1,426 patients getting cured aggregating to 7,64,854 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 10,988.
Among districts, Chennai led with 356 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 139 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 70,378 today, totalling to 1,23,34,447 getting examined till date.
