Farmers strike in Delhi is continuing for the 9th consecutive day. Communist Party of India in Tirupur besieged the district collectors office in the protest that took place today in support of them and demanded the immediate withdrawal of the Central Government's Agricultural Amendment Bill.

Tension prevailed as the party members marched from the town hall defying police ban and tried to blockade the collector's office. Following this, the police forcibly arrested the party members involved in the protest on Tirupur Kumaran Road. This caused a stir in the area for some time.
