The woman who returned from her shift at a private hospital was heading towards her home at Kongu nagar near Ramanathapuram.
While returning to her home she was suddenly abused by a drunk man who was on the street. Neighbours who heard the woman scream rushed outside to help the woman.
Before the neighbours arrival the drunk man fled the scene of the incident cussing and yelling at the woman he abused.
Later the neighbours saved her and admitted the woman at a hospital nearby where she was treated for injuries and also informed the nearby police station.
Upon further investigation the police found that the drunk man who abused the woman was a painter named Kameshwaran (24) from Olympus.
Upon further investigation the police arrested the drunk manwho abused the woman at midnight and filed case against him.
