K. Ramakrishnan, Leader of Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam while meeting the media said that " The central government has ordered news scripts to be read in Sanskrit from the 1st of this month. Out of all North Indian languages, Sanskrit is not a non-conversational language but also a language which is dead."

The government has only allocated a budget of 10 crore for the development of regional languages which are already on the verge of dying, whereas Sankrit language gets allocated a bigger budget is injustice.
