COVID 19: Tamil Nadu posts 1,413 recoveries to 1,416 new cases

Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Wednesday recorded 1,416 fresh COVID-19 cases and 14 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 7,86,163 and toll to 11,747.



Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Thursday recorded 1,416 fresh COVID-19 cases and 14 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 7,86,163 and toll to 11,747.

Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 1,413 patients getting cured aggregating to 7,63,428 till date, the State health department bulletin said.

Active cases stood at 10,999.

Among districts, Chennai led with 382 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 140 cases.

Testing of samples stood at 70,156 today, totalling to 1,22,64,069 getting examined till date.
