Chennai: Rajinikanth in an interview said, "I don't care if I die, the day has arrived to save Tamil Nadu." Celebrated by fans as Superstar Rajinikanth, fans were waiting to see when he would announce his political party. He had earlier said that he would contest in all 234 constituencies in the coming assembly elections and that the party would be launched. Few days later he again clarified that an announcement will be made regarding the party, taking in mind the advice of the doctors and considering the coronavirus threat.
Today he posted on his Twitter account that the announcement would be made on the 31st and that the party would start in January. Rajinikanth, who met reporters, said he would definitely keep his promise and his political party was postponed for a variety of reasons and said there is no better time if he does not get down to politics now. He said, "I have decided to get into politics as per the advice of the doctors and I don't care even if I die." he said.
He said, "As announced, the party will launch in January. Tamilaruvi Manian has been appointed as the party's supervisor. Murthy will act as chief coordinator. If I win the election, it will be the victory of the people. The day has come for political change and regime change".
He said he was unable to campaign across Tamil Nadu due to coronavirus as doctors had said it was risky as his immune system was weak. But he said, "I have decided to get into the field as I value the Tamil people more than my life and political change is needed and it will happen in Tamil Nadu. If not now, then never!" The announcement has excited his fans and his supporters. In 2017, Rajini said, "I will surely get into politics." Following this, actor Rajinikanth took action, saying that his main goal was the assembly elections and that he could give a rule like former CM MGR.
Rajinikanth's fans eagerly awaited for his political party. But over the past few months, it has been reported that chances were dim for Rajini to enter politics and he has abandoned his decision to start a political party due to the Coronavirus infection. This led to confusion for his fans.
Two days ago, Rajinikanth called on 38 district secretaries of the Rajinikanth Makkal Manram to come to Chennai. His decision caused a stir in Tamil Nadu politics. At the Raghavendra Wedding Hall in Kodambakkam, Chennai, a meeting of the District Secretaries of the Rajini Makkal Manram was held under the chairmanship of Rajini. Rajinikanth had asked the executives about the political situation in Tamil Nadu, coronavirus relief etc. Later, Rajinikanth told reporters that he would announce his decision as soon as possible. Thus, his fans were waiting for the announcement of Rajinikanth's political stance to come out at any time.
Actor Rajinikanth has posted on his Twitter page that the party launch in January will be announced on December 31st. He urged to bring about a change in the rule as there was no better time than this. He promised to build honest, transparent, secular and spiritual politics in Tamil Nadu and promised that a miracle would happen. His record has caused great joy and boundless excitement among the fans. Rajinikanth's decision came as a shock to those who claimed that his political career was in question.
