People Confused As Burevi Storm Named After A Marshy Land Apple Variety!

During yesterday's press conference with the Meteorology Department Director Puviarasan there was a complete discussion about the depression in the Bay of Bengal that has now turned into a Storm.

This depression in the Bay of Bengal later turned into a storm and was named Puravi. The crossing of the Burevi storm was explained in detail by Director Puviarasan to the journalists present.

When a journalist present in the crowd asked about the name reason behind Puravi, Director Puviarasan answered as follows " the name Burevi was suggested by the officials of Maldives. In the Maldivian language Dhivehi, Puravi originates from a plant which grows in black marshy land of Maldives. This plant is also known as the Apple of marshy land."

Burevi in Dhivehi is known to be a variety of apple that is grown on the black marshy land of Maldives which the storm Burevi is named after.
