Coimbatore: Sruthi (36) wife of Mohanraj (45) farmer committed suicide by plunging into a 20ft deep well in the neighborhood.
Sruthi and Mohanraj who lived near the Paalkaaran Street, Sathy Main Road, Sirumugai are parents to two girl children.
Sruthi and Mohanraj were often found quarreling over household issues. With a similar kind of quarrel happening the night before the tragic incident. Both the husband and wife went to bed after the fight.
Mohanraj on waking up found Sruthi missing. He then searched the entire neighborhood for Sruthi.
Later Sruthi's body was said to be in a 20ft deep well belonging to their neighbor Balasubramaniam.
Local cops were notified, regarding this tragic incident. Police officials and firemen arrived at the spot immediately.
After an hour of struggle, cops finally found Sruthi dead in the well.
With the autopsy being done at the Mettupalayam Government Hospital, the investigation around the mysterious suicide of Sruthi is yet to be revealed.
FIR has been filed under section 174 with policemen trying to find the underlying cause behind the suicide.
