Flesh trade: 2 men and a women held; one woman rescued in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Acting upon a complaint given by a man who was intercepted by a gang and lured him into prostitution, the Perur Police caught a gang of three brokers involved in flesh trade.
Selvam (49), a resident of Chettipalayam, Perur, Coimbatore, was walking alone near the Sundakamuthur area. Suddenly, a gang of three including a woman stopped him and lured him for prostitution at a home. They demanded a ransom from Selvam for being with a woman.
Shocked by their act, Selvam thoughtfully departed from there saying that he would take money from his home and meet them at the same spot.
He then reported the matter to the Perur police who monitored the movementof the gang from distance and caught them red-handed.Police arrested brokers, Abu Tahir (40) from Karumbukkadai, Suresh (48) from Chennai and Priya (29) from Chettipalayam.
All three brokers were remanded in judicial custody and the woman was sent to a government home for rehabilitation.
