COVID 19: Tamil Nadu posts 1,398 recoveries to 1,428 new cases

Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Wednesday recorded 1,428 fresh COVID-19 cases and 11 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 7,84,747 and toll to 11,733.



Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Wednesday recorded 1,428 fresh COVID-19 cases and 11 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 7,84,747 and toll to 11,733.

Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 1,398 patients getting cured aggregating to 7,62,015 till date, the State health department bulletin said.

Active cases stood at 10,980.

Among districts, Chennai led with 397 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 142 cases.

Testing of samples stood at 68,854 today, totalling to 1,21,93,913 getting examined till date.
