Tirupur Police Department Conducts Riot Control Drill!
Coimbatore:With recent support to the farmer's protests by the general public and various other associations, The Tirupur Police Department has organised a riot control exercise for policemen across the city.

The main agenda of the riot drill organisedby the Tirupur City Police Department focuses mainly on safeguarding the public and other protestors during the crucial times of lathi charge, pressure water charge using vajra vahan and public arrests during protects.

Also, The Tirupur City Police Department has organised a special riot drill which trains the police officers to help evacuate the protestors and general public from important landmarks like the front office of the Kumaran Memorial, Andipalayam and The District Collectorate Office during the riots.

The riot drill was initiated by the Tirupur City Police Department, focused on helping the police department evacuate the public and other protestors and also handle them using lathi charge and vajra vehicles (government vans which is used to spray water on public to help control the riot and arrest the demeanours.)
General public and organisations across the country are showing their support to the farmer's protests which is said to last till the end 6th December.
