Coimbatore: Devotees visiting Maruthamalai temple lament that lack of access to ATM machine centres at the foothill of the temple has been causing much inconvenience.

Despite pleas to install ATM vending machines at the foothills of the famed Marudhamalai temple in Coimbatore, the devotees lament that they had to go upto Bharathiyar University campus to withdraw money.

The most affected are the devotees who come from other districts and states. Umaware of lack of ATM facilities, they are left disappointed. If the ATM near Bharathiyar University also doesn't work, we have to further go upto Kalveerampayam to withdraw cash, devotees allege.

Aa Maruthamalai Subramaniya Swamy Temple attracts tourists and devotees from across the country, lack of ATM puts the devotees in despair. Especially with Sabarimala and Thai Poosam season nearing, lack of ATM at the foothills of the temple will cause much disappointment to the devotees, the public opine.

Hence, the devotees have unanimously requested the District Administration to make arrangements to install an ATM, shortly.

While all other facilities like boarding, rest rooms, drinking water facility and transportation are upto to mark at the temple, availability of an ATM will be of immense use to the devotees.
