Bus loses control and collides with a two wheeler: One killed, two injured

Coimbatore: One killed, two injured when a private bus collided with a two wheeler after it was put off by a reckless two wheeler which went on the wrong side.

The Srimurugan 3B private bus plying from Coimbatore Ukkadam bus stand to Madukkarai departed from Ukkadam bus stand today. The driver of the vehicle is Ramesh. As the bridge works on Ukkadam is ongoing, two - wheelers and four-wheelers are being allowed now. The bus driver was going through when the bus lost control and collided with a passing two-wheeler, while a two-wheeler went on the wrong side and the bus and crashed into a nearby petrol station.



Rajamanikkam (72), a resident of Pollachi Muthur area, who was driving a two wheeler died on the spot. Two were injured and one of them is being treated in ICU.



The Traffic Investigation Division police have arrested the driver and conductor in connection with the accident and are investigating.
