Tirupur: For the second consecutive day, members of Marxist Communist Party (CPM) in Tirupur courted arrest for protesting against the centre's farm bill and expressing solidarity to the fellow farmers of Punjab and Haryana who in massive numbers have gathered at the nation's captial against the bill.

The CPM cadres on Wednesday, held placards and saplings against the central government and besieged the Central Post Office in Tirupur. On Sunday, Rajya Sabha passed two of the three farm reforms Bills that have seen widespread protests in recent weeks, particularly in Haryana and Punjab.

The CPM cadres raised slogans condemning the government for passing laws against farmers interests and promised to stand in solidarity with thousands of farmers protesting near Delhi for the sixth day in a row.
All protestors were arrested.
