Coimbatore: Saravanampatti police station has been closed following COVID-19 infection confirmed for 6 persons including inspector in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: Saravanampatti police station has been closed following COVID-19 infection confirmed for 6 persons including inspector in Coimbatore. Central and state governments are taking various measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. They have made it mandatory to wear masks and follow social distancing.Even with strict precautions in place, 6 people, including the Coimbatore Saravanampatti Inspector and the female Chief Constable, were confirmed to be positive for COVID-19.

All of them have been admitted to hospital for treatment. The Saravanampatti police station has been temporarily closed. Preventive measures including spraying of disinfectant have been carried out at Saravanampatti police station. A temporary police station has also been set up in front of the check post at Saravanampatti Sathy Road. Police are taking action on complaints lodged by the public there.
