The Alukkusamy Temple is located in Vettaikaranputhur near Pollachi in Coimbatore district. This temple is quite famous with the locals and those in the neighbouring districts. Former Chief Minister of Puducherry, Rangasamy used to visit this temple frequently and perform ‘Sami darisanam’. This year’s Gurupuja festival was held yesterday. The function was inaugurated by Kasturi Vasu, ADMK MLA of Valparai Legislative Assembly.
After that, thousands of devotees performed ‘Sami darisanam’ and participated in special prayers. In this, former Chief Minister of Puducherry Rangasamy arrived in Pollachi yesterday afternoon for the Guru Pooja. After that at 7.30 pm he had the Sami darisanam at the Temple. The event was attended by temple trustees and many others.
