Three arrested for robbery and burglary - Coimbatore SP

The task force, headed by Periyanayakanpalayam Sub-Divisional Superintendent of Police Krishnamurthy, consisted of Inspector Prithiviraj, Assistant Sub-Inspectors Ananthakumar, Sujithkumar, Lourdes Raj and police.

At around 9 this morning, a passenger car speeding near the Railway flyover was stopped by personnel conducting a vehicle inspection. But when they saw the police, they rushed without stopping. Immediately, the police chased the vehicle and recovered it.

Senthil (52), Manikandan (22) and Mohammad (25) of Mettupalayam, Coimbatore were arrested and interrogated. In it, the trio confessed to being involved in activities such as burglary in various areas including Periyanaickenpalayam, Annur, Karumathampatti and Sulur.

The motorcycle and car were confiscated from them. Following that, the three were produced before the Coimbatore Criminal Court and remanded in custody this evening.
