Coimbatore: Suriyaprakash (22), the second son of Duraisamy of Annur Somanur division in Coimbatore district, has left home to go to Bhavani river on Diwali. But he did not return home after that.

While Suryaprakash's family was searching, they were informed by the Erode police that he was lying dead on the banks of the Bhavani river. Later, Surya Prakash's body was autopsied at Satyamangalam Government Hospital and handed over to his family.

In this context, his father Duraisamy today came to the Coimbatore Collectorate and filed a petition claiming that there was a mystery in the death of his son Suryaprakash. In that petition, he has stated that "the police have not yet clarified how his son died and that there were two people with my son, so they should also be investigated."

Also, Duraisamy had said in the petition that he wanted to inspect the surveillance cameras near the Bhavani river bank and find out how Suryaprakash died.

Duraisamy posted a picture of his son on the banner and struggled to get it to stand in front of the collector's office. Later, the police on security duty spoke to Duraisamy and sent him away.
