Coimbatore: Two people, including a mechanic, were killed in different accidents in Coimbatore. Sailesh Kumar (age 29) is a construction worker from Vellanaipatti, Coimbatore.
Yesterday, he was traveling on his motorcycle from Serayampalayam to Arasur Road. When he came near Chinnathurai and tried to overtake the tractor, Sailesh Kumar stumbled and fell down. The rear wheel of the tractor ran over him in which he died tragically. Kovilpalayam police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation.
Sakthivel (42), a two-wheeler mechanic, is from Jadayampalayam, Dharapuram in Tirupur district. Yesterday, he was driving his motorcycle from Negamam Road to Vadugapalayam. A lorry lost control and collided with Sakthivel's motorcycle in which he was thrown from his vehicle. He was critically injured and was rushed to Palladam Government Hospital for treatment. Doctors who examined him there said he had died on the way. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
