Though COVID-19 intensity has lowered in Coimbatore wearing face masks is mandatory - Coimbatore Corporation
Coimbatore: Due to the intensive coronavirus prevention activities of the Coimbatore Corporation and the cooperation of the people of the city, the impact of corona is currently minimal. Despite that wearing a face mask is mandatory said a release by the Coimbatore Corporation.
The risk of spreading infection is high in the cafes and hotels. Hence the employees at hotels must mandatorily wear face masks and follow social distancing and wash hands frequently.
Fines will be imposed on officers and employees who work without wearing a mask and the restaurants and shops will be ordered to close temporarily for a few weeks as per orders of the Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer J Kumaravel Pandian.
