Slogans like 'India without Congress' and 'Tamilnadu without Kalagams' are like strangling the voice of democracy - Tirupur MP Subbarayan

Coimbatore: Tirupur MP Subbarayan saidSlogans like 'India without Congress' and 'Tamilnadu without Kalagams' are like strangling the voice of democracy.

MP Subbarayan, a member of the National Committee of the Communist Party of India, met reporters at the Communist Party of India office in Coimbatore.

He said millions of farmers are struggling on Delhi's 5 connecting roads. He said "the protest was caused by the anti-democratic move of the BJP government. Since there was no majority in the Rajya Sabha to pass the three farm bills, the Central Government had passed this farm bills illegally."

He added that "the siege struggle will continue until all three laws are withdrawn by the central government and the government should unconditionally negotiate with the farmers."

He also said that Amit Shah was not worthy of being called "Honorable". He described that the BJP-AIADMK alliance ceremony was sponsored through government money and also added that it was bad to criticize the opposition leader on the government platform while announcing the alliance.

He said that OPS and EPS had lost the moral credentials of being the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu by announcing the alliance on a government platform. There have been criticisms about Amit Shah’s son’s income so they did not deserve to talk about the DMK's corruption as there were corruption allegations against Amit Shah and his family.

He added that “the Prime Minister's statement that one country, one election shows his disbelief in democracy. The AIADMK-BJP alliance would fail just like it did in the parliamentary election. The BJP was involved in all sorts notorious acts to create chaos in the DMK alliance. Vel Yatra had a political motive and the BJP's plan was to weaken the DMK.”
