North Indian worker beaten to death in Coimbatore today. Police investigate 3 youth
Coimbatore: Police are investigating the 3 youth for beating up a North Indian to death in Coimbatore today.
Lalith Kumar (42) from Bihar, Aruman (28) from Rajasthan and Ram Kishore (22) from Rajasthan are staying in Cheran MaNagar located near Peelamedu. and are working for a private company here. The driver of the company is Senthilkumar (32) from Namakkal. When Rs. 400 went missing from Senthilkumar's pocket he asked if Lalith Kumar had stolen the money.
This led to an argument between the two. Ram Kishore, who was there, tried to settle the issue between both of them. Then the 4 of them drank alcohol together when they again fought for the money. Senthilkumar was joined by two others and the dispute turned into violence and Lalith Kumar was attacked by 3 people. He was killed on the spot.
The Peelamedu police rushed to the spot on receiving the information and recovered the body of Lalith Kumar and sent it to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for autopsy. Police have arrested the 3 people involved in the murder and are investigating. They are being booked under Section 302.
