Public petition to Pollachi Sub-Collector to dismiss BJP Panchayat Vice President

Coimbatore: Public petition to Pollachi Sub-Collector to dismiss BJP Panchayat Vice President.

More than 1,500 people live in S Malayadipatti under Pollachi South Panchayat Union. Myilsamy, who won AIADMK support in last year's local elections, was elected panchayat chief. Also, Anbuselvi, Nachimuthu, Vetrivel Murugan and Ravi were elected as ward members and Ravi (BJP) as vice-president.

Ward members Anbuselvi, Nachimuthu and Vetrivel Murugan have not been doing their job well. They have also been accused of showing interest in hindering panchayat work. More than 200 members of the public today filed a petition with the Pollachi Collector alleging that the Panchayat Vice President was interfering in the Tamil Nadu government's scheme to provide free livestock and that Vice President Ravi was obstructing the panchayat from doing anything.

Further, a petition was filed today with Pollachi Sub Collector Vaidyanathan, headed by Panchayat leader Myilsami, urging him to dismiss and also dismiss Panchayat members Vetrivel Murugan, Anbuselvi and Nachimuthu as they are obstructing the development work of the panchayat.
