Youth dies falling into pit created by the rains in Coimbatore


Coimbatore: A youth from Singanallur who came in a bike fell into a pit caused by rain and died. Senthilkumar is from VKN Street near Sulur.

He owns and operates an auto spare parts shop. His son Gautam (26) supervises the shop run by his father. YesterdayGautam went on his bike from Sulur to Somanur for a relative’s function.

Due to heavy rains there was a pit near a private company on Railway Feeder Road. When Gautam passed that way he fell into a pit and died on the spot with serious injuries. Singanallur police were informed about this. Police recovered Gautam's body and sent it to Coimbatore Government Hospital for autopsy. Singanallur police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
