Coimbatore: Labourer abandons wife and children in the bus stand. Police are investigating. Surya (27) is a hotel worker from Tirunelveli district.
He is survived by his wife, Jenitha Mary, 23, and a 4-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son. Surya has been staying and working with his family in Karumathampatti, Coimbatore for the past few months. The day before yesterday, he came along with his wife and children to Singanallur bus stand to go to Tirunelveli.
Surya made his family sit in the bus and said he was going to the shop and never returned.
He was not found when his family searched for him in the bus stand and the surroundings. His cell phone was switched off. Jenitha Mary cried with the children as her husband left. Those around informed the Singanallur police. Police are searching for Surya who went missing. Jenitha Mary told the police that her husband was working in the hotel and as he did not get the right job he decided to go back to his hometown. She said that he went missing after making them board the bus.
She said that she didn't know if he had any problem. She cried that she didn't have money to go back to hometown and her children hadn't eaten and said she never expected her husband to do this. The children cried asking for their dad. The police comforted them and sent them home. Police are looking for Surya by tracing his phone number.
