New President and office bearers elected for 'Codissia'
Coimbatore: New President and office bearers have been elected for 'CODISSIA'.

The 51st Annual General Meeting of "The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association" (CODISSIA) held today at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam in Avinashi Road. The members participated in the meeting both in person and also through video conference.
During the meeting, V. Ramesh Babu was elected as the President of CODISSIA. He is the 27th President to take charge of this Association. Immediate past president R. Ramamurthy handed over the charge to him. Along with him, M. Karthikeyan was elected as the Secretary and the new team of Office Bearers and Executive Committee Members were also elected for the term 2020-2022. All the above members were elected unanimously by members of the Association.
This meeting was attended by Office Bearers of all major Associations and felicitations were done. Various resolutions were passed which include, thanking State and Central Government, Technology Upgradation Fund (TUF) should be introduced to MSMEs for expansion and modernisation. Labour law's need to be simplified and relaxed for MSME. They also urged Special trains should be introduced to bring back migrant workers and finding support needed to increase the MSME contribution in catering defense forces needs and that job works must be completely exempted from GST.
