Coimbatore: Public complain of traffic congestion due to blockade in front of police station. The Sulur police station near Coimbatore is located on the Trichy bypass road. A barricade has been set up to allow the public to walk slowly past the police station. When small and heavy vehicles coming on the road pass through it it causes traffic congestion and makes the public wait on the side of the road for a long time to go to the police station to file a petition.

The container truck, which was loaded with two-wheelers this morning, took more than 15 minutes to cross the barricade in front of the police station. Then, the police came and helped to remove the barricades to let the heavy vehicle pass. The public have demanded to immediately remove the blockade permanently and asked to set up a speed breaker instead
