Coimbatore: Farmers protest with their produce demanding the withdrawal of the new agriculture bill. Farmers in Delhi have been protesting, demanding the repeal of agriculture laws by the central government.



Coimbatore: Farmers protest with their produce demanding the withdrawal of the new agriculture bill. Farmers in Delhi have been protesting, demanding the repeal of agriculture laws by the central government. Condemning the police attack on the protesting farmers and in support of them, the Tamil Nadu Farmers' Union marched withproduce, including bananas, turmeric, shallots and radishes tied in black.



The protesters chanted slogans demanding the repeal of three agrarian laws enacted by the central government. They also demanded that the central government should negotiate unconditionally with the farmers to find a solution. They urged that the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and the Opposition parties should also demand the repeal of the agricultural laws.



They said they cannot give up the rights of farmers under any circumstances. They also said they have spoken to all the farmers' unions and said that the farmers in Tamil Nadu would take part in the struggle in the capital Delhi. Following this, the police negotiated with the protesting farmers and took them to the District Collector to present the petition on behalf of the farmers' union representatives.
