Edappadi Palanisamy not the reason for completion of Athikadavu Avinashi project - MK Stalin speech at Tamilagam Meetpom

Coimbatore: MK Stalin speech at Election Campaign General meeting at Tamilagam Meetpom. MK Stalin accused that though Edappadi Palanisamy, SP Velumani, Thangamani, Udumalai Radhakrishnan and Karuppannan belong to the Kongu region, they have brought many projects to the Kongu areas.

MK Stalin accused that though Edappadi Palanisamy, SP Velumani, Thangamani, Udumalai Radhakrishnan and Karuppannan belong to the Kongu region, they have not brought many projects to the Kongu areas. MK Stalin accused them of doing nothing and said that Edappadi Palanisamy was not the reason for completion of the Athikadavu Avinashi project.



DMK's video campaign 'Tamilagam Meetpom' was held in Tirupur district today. The video conference was held at more than 200 locations across the district, including the private wedding hall on Union Mill Road. Tirupur Central, North, South and East District Officers and A.Raja and Karthikeya Sivasenapathy were also present. DMK leader MK Stalin, who spoke on video, said the construction of the Ring Road and bridges in Tirupur was started during the DMK rule but was stopped when the rule changed causing traffic congestion which is  lasting till now. He also blamed the central and state governments for not setting up an ESI hospital in Tirupur to protect the health of workers. He also blamed the state and central government were the reason for micro and small businesses to be inoperable.



He accused people like Minister SP Velumani and Minister Thangamani of focussing on making money and claimed SP Velumani has earned thousands by abusing various tenders in the local government sector. He said he has earned several thousand crores and a separate court should be set up to investigate corruption against him and has also used his political power critics. He added that Minister Thangamani has been corrupt in purchasing substandard coal and equipment for the Electricity Board. It is doubtful whether there is any connection between the Chief Minister and the Minister of Education. He also said that there were various contradictions between the Chief Minister and the Education Minister.

Also he accused Edappadi Palanisamy for beating and torturing farmers who fought for the 8-way Greenway project and accused of him being a traitor of farmers by supporting the agriculture bill. He said the wrong economic policy of the governments was the cause for the stunted growth of industries in Tirupur which was a "Dollar city" into "Dull city". He said reports state that work shift will be increased from 8 hours to 12 hours and he also criticized the BJP for its anti-labour policies.

He said they do not need to explain patriotism to those who sell the country to corporates. He said they wanted a country without caste and religion. He said when the DMK comes to power a panel of experts from various industries will be formed and he will govern on the advice of them for the industries to flourish.
