Risk of accidents due to overgrown fences in NH near Cinchona tea estate

Coimbatore: Risk of accidents due to overgrown fences in NH near Cinchona tea estate. On both sides of the Cinchona NH Road in Valparai, Coimbatore district, there are bio-fences to protect the tea plants. The main tourist attraction of the region is the Koolangal River, which attracts a large number of tourists. The overgrown fences cause poor visibility of oncoming vehicles on the opposite side of the road.

Hence the motorists face difficulty in driving and often lead to accidents. Public demanded that department officials concerned should alert the tea estate management and take immediate action to remove the fences to avoid accidents.
