2G Case: Judge has clearly said that the accused in the 2G case are not guilty - DMK MP Kanimozhi
Coimbatore: DMK Women's Wing Secretary and Member of Parliament Kanimozhi flew from Chennai to Coimbatore to start her election campaign tour in Salem tomorrow. She was given an enthusiastic welcome by the DMK women's team at the airport.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Kanimozhi said that Chennai was badly affected by the rains last time but the government has not learned a lesson since then. SHe said the water routes had not been repaired, adding that the storm had weakened to a lesser extent this time in Chennai.
She said there was a risk of flooding by storms again, adding that the current regime was not in a position to protect the environment or water bodies. Asked whether the campaign would be launched on the eve of KarthikaiThirunal, Kanimozhi said it had been a long time since the DMK had launched its campaign and there was no difference between today and the day of the campaign.
Further, as the 2G trial is progressing fast the reporters asked her if she thinks it will make an impact. She replied that “the judge clearly said that the accused in that case are not guilty.”
Asked about the criticism of the DMK on social media, Kanimozhi accused the BJP and AIADMK of spreading false propaganda on websites. Following this, she left for Salem by road.
