Coimbatore: In an exemplary display of honesty, a woman from Coimbatore handed over to police two bundles of 500 rupee currency worth Rs.1 lakh in total, which was reportedly lying next to their doorstep near Podanur.
Coimbatore: In an exemplary display of honesty, a woman from Coimbatore handed over to police two bundles of 500 rupee currency worth Rs.1 lakh in total, which was reportedly lying next to their doorstep near Podanur.
Stella is a resident of Sangamam road, near Podanur here. Last evening, while Stella was about to leave the house to buy milk, she noticed two 500 rupees bundles lying on the roadside at the entrance of their house. Immediately, Stella took the cash and rushed to the police station.
Not delaying any further, she immediately rushed to Chettipalayam police station and explained about the missing cash and handed over the cash to the Sub-Inspector Arul Prakash.
Meanwhile, a man named Ismail belonging to the same area rushed to the police station to complaint about the missing cash. He also brought his friend Shafeeq, as a witness of him having missed the cash. After inquiry, the sub-inspector handed over the Rs 1 lakh cash to the rightful owner, Ismail.
The cops at the station and Ismail thanked Stella for her honesty.
