Man gives lift to two and they rob mobile phone and cargo auto in Coimbatore; police nab them immediately
Coimbatore: Mobile phone and auto robbed in Coimbatore. Malayandi (age 42), resides in Velandipalayam, Saibaba Colony.
He is working in a private flex printing company and also owns a cargo auto. He left his truck parked near Coimbatore 100 feet road early yesterday morning and drank tea. When he was about to leave two people asked for a lift. Malayandi felt sorry for them as it was early morning and gave them a lift. Then when the auto left, the two of them threatened Malayandi, snatched his mobile phone, pushed him down and stole his cargo auto too.
Malayandi immediately informed the police control room. The patrol police immediately checked the vehicle with the registration number. Then when the auto came near Mettupalayam Road, Saibaba Colony, the police stopped and recovered the auto. Satish Kumar (20) and Vasudevan (19) from Venkatapuram, Coimbatore were arrested by the police on charges of stealing auto under sections 394, 379 theft and burglary and confiscated the auto.
