Coimbatore: COVID 19: Tamil Nadu posts 1,910 recoveries to 1,557 new cases
Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Tuesday recorded 1,557 fresh COVID-19 cases and 17 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 7,73,176 and toll to 11,639.
Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 1,910 patients getting cured aggregating to 7,49,662 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 12,245.
Among districts, Chennai led with 469 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 146 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 67,271 today, totalling to 1,16,73,521 getting examined till date.
