Special voter camp in Coimbatore district! 51,303 people applied to be added

Coimbatore: It has been reported that 51,303 new people have applied for enrollment in the special voter list camps held in Coimbatore district during the last two days.

Coimbatore: It has been reported that 51,303 new people have applied for enrollment in the special voter list camps held in Coimbatore district during the last two days.

The draft voter list was released on the 16th in Coimbatore district. Following this, it was announced that a petition can be filed to add, delete or amend the name in the voter list. In this context, special camps were held at more than 3,000 polling stations on the 21st and 22nd for the convenience of the voters. In this, the voters eagerly participated and petitioned to add, edit and delete the name.

Accordingly, 22,991 people had applied in Coimbatore district on the 21st and 43,795 on the 22nd and more people had filed petitions in the camps on the 22nd than on the 21st.

In addition, a total of 66 thousand 786 people have applied to add / remove names in the camps held in 10 assembly constituencies in Coimbatore district. Of these, 51,303 have submitted Form 6 to add their names to the voter list. In addition, 3,075 people have completed Form 7 for deletion, 8,4465 for Form 8 to amend and 3024 for Form 8A to amend in the same constituency.

The total number of applications submitted to add, delete and amend the name in the voter list for 10 assembly constituencies in Coimbatore district is as follows:

Mettupalayam 6,513, Sulur 9,358, Countampalayam 9,019, Coimbatore North 5660, Thondamuthur 8,732, Coimbatore South 3614, Singanallur 5537 Kinathukadavu 7398, Pollachi 5,550, Valparai 5,406 and Sulur 9,358.  Out of 10 constituencies in Coimbatore district, Sulur constituency has the highest number of 9,358 applicants.
