Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman attended the function and distributed ration items to the public. Later, in an interview with reporters, he condemned DMK youth secretary Udayanidhi Stalin for speaking in a threatening tone to a police officer.
He added that it was common practice across the country for political parties not to hold large gatherings due to the corona infection. "AIADMK is not afraid to see Udayanidhi Stalin. AIADMK has also met his grandfather Kalaignar. We are also tackling Stalin now. He (Udayanidhi Stalin) is a normal political speaker and has been campaigning for the family party as he has no chance to act," he said.
"While the regime is not in power, they are intimidating the police and we do not know how much anarchy they are going to engage in as the election draws to a close. This is highly reprehensible. Stalin is claiming that they will come to power at the click of a button, but they are unable to do anything to AIADMK for last four years. We will win and rule in 2021 with a bigger mandate" he said.
