He then requested the public to segregate the degradable and non-degradable waste. Corporation Commissioner inspected the Coimbatore Corporation, South zone visited the construction work of the underground sewer under the Coimbatore area.
He then inspected the Ward No.89, Sundakkamuthur, Velayutham, Pillai Road whether the officers went door-to-door and carried out abatement and spraying of bleaching powder in water tanks to eradicate dengue mosquitoes in water tanks.
He inspected field workers in the area who went door-to-door to diagnose people with colds, flu and coughs and symptoms of COVID-19.
Later, the people of the area were told to separate the degradable and non-degradable garbage and hand it over to the sanitary workers and to keep the rainwater drainage canals clean.
He inspected the ongoing sewerage works at 3rd Street, Ward No.99 EB Colony and Ward No.99, Perumal Sami Nagar under Ward No.99. He also inspected the completion of underground sewerage works and road works in Jaya Nagar area under Ward No.99. The Commissioner then ordered the officers to complete all the work on time.
