Coimbatore: Clock Tower Day Celebrated in North Coimbatore on behalf of Round Table India. Round Table India last year opened North Coimbatore and RTI Clock Tower Day is celebrated every year to commemorate RTI Week.

Tr. Pradeeprajappa, DR Vidyadharan, DR Vishnu (Area Head Members), Tr. Anil and DR Aditya, Tr. Karan (RTI Convener), Chairman of Coimbatore 8 Tables and other Area Board members were present.
The prosthetic leg center at Coimbatore RS Puram, which was started 40 years ago, has fitted Jaipur prosthetic legs to various beneficiaries in Tamil Nadu. It was launched by Round Table 31 and Coimbatore Women's Circle 16 and the center operates under Round Table India. It is functioning for people who are socially and economically backward irrespective of age.

Ahead of Round Table Week, more than 500 prosthetic legs are to be donated at a cost of Rs 20 lakh. This week, up to Rs 4.5 lakh is being spent on Government relief in various parts of the city. It is planned to build two classrooms at Thimmampalayam at an estimated cost of Rs. 15 lakhs. This week the blood donation camp, plan to plant 10000 seeds in 12 cities and plant saplings in several schools has been planned.
Round Table India is an association of men aged 18 to 40 who are doing community services. It has 300 branches across the country. It is implementing a long-term plan of liberation through education and has accepted the challenge of eradicating ignorance through education in India. It aims at giving every Indian the opportunity to do so. It believes that change can be brought about by a ‘partnership service’ approach.
