Dinesh Gundu Rao, in-charge of the Tamil Nadu Congress Party, visited the Marudhamalai Murugan Temple where he was given a special welcome by the District Chairman Mahesh Kumar. Speaking to reporters after the darshan, he said that the Tamil nadu government was discriminating in following the rules by denying permission for and public meetings by the opposition and said that this was reason for the tussle between police and the congress during the 'Ekalappai Yatra'.

He said agreements on the constituency in Tamil Nadu have not been decided yet and will be announced later.
