According to the draft voter list, there are 14,68,222 male voters, 15,02,142 female voters and 369 transgender voters in Coimbatore district with a total number of 29,70,733. The district collector had said that a special camp would be held today and tomorrow from 10 am to 5 pm for addition of names, correction of names and change of addresses in the voter list. In this regard work has been going on in all the polling booths in the district from 10 am today.
The names that are missing from the voter list and names of those who have attained the age of 18 by January 1, 2021 can apply with documents including a copy of Aadhar and a copy of school transfer certificate to add their name in the voter list. The special camp will continue on December 12,13. Participants in these special camps can make corrections, including name additions to the voter list, and apply for name change, deletion, or correction online or through the app.
Apart from this, applications can be submitted at the Polling Centers, Taluk Offices, Divisional Offices, Mettupalayam Municipal Office, Coimbatore Corporation Assistant Commissioner (Central Zone, East Zone), Pollachi Sub-Collector's Office till December 15 on all working days from 10 am to 5 pm.
